Does anyone have one?

Looking for a nice backpack style for my camera for my honeymoon and wanted something easy for sight seeing and the plane and wondered what everyone had and if these were any good?

Thanks,
Nicky

Nicky,

I have the LowePro Slingshot 200 and I love it for reasonable distances around town. As it only has one shoulder strap, it definitely isn't a long distance hiking type pack. The 100/200 will probably be allowed as cabin luggage, the 300, I'm not so sure, however, I tried the 300 when I bought my 200 and found it to be very uncomfortable, I think it's just too big for a slingshot type bag.

The problem is, bags are very much a personal choice, but I hope this helps a little.

I have the slingshot 200 and love it. Took it to Barcelona as hand luggage with 2 different airlines and no problem there. It's been on my back for 9 hours, fully loaded with 3 lenses and all the other crap with no ill effects. It's been up mountains, down caves, got wet and dirty and still survived.

I'm another Slingshot 200 AW user.

I really recommend it. The 100 i tried and it was too small for my gear, and the 300 was just too big and uncomfortable.

It has space for your D-SLR with mid length zoom, 2 or 3 additional lenses, filters, memory cards etc, more than enough space for most users. It is really quite comfortable even fully loaded if you have the straps adjusted correctly.

And it has a rain cover neatly hidden in the bottom, great if you get caught in a shower and dont want to risk your gear getting soggy.

I was lucky enough to pick mine up for £29.99 in a sale... normally about £50, but still a great bag. (and the lining is mid grey to help your exposures in snow etc, lol)

I've even attach some lashing strap to mine so it can hold my smaller tripod if needs be.

I've got the 100 and am very impressed with it so far, particularly when trekking about town. I live in London at the bag is a nice size for taking on busy tubes and buses. It comfortably houses my D80 and 3 lenses (with one attached)

I have the slingshot AW 200 as well, wore mine all weekend as was in Washington DC for the cherry blossom festival. Its great for a day out but as others have stated the 300 is too big a bag for the single strapped slingshot, if I need a bigger bag I use the two strapped variety.

I like the built in screen protector and rain cover.
