Lowepro Slingshot 100 AW

Hi

I have the 400d with a 55-250 IS attached and it fits fine.

Just got mine wrapped for crimbo. and looks like it should fit a large lens quite happily!

depends on what you've got. It'll happily accomodate a 450d, 18-55mm, 55-250, and 50mm. Which is everything i plan to buy in the next 12 months!

Ive got a 450D and that bag. It will certainly hold a 200mm lens with 5cm or so to spare if you redesign the inside pockets. Currently in mine i have the camera with 55-200 / 18-55IS and 10-22 lenses along with some CPLs & ND grads in the main part.

One thing though - it hasnt got loops for a tripod to be carried on the outside.

I'm looking to replace mine as i find it too small now (may keep it for travelling light though.

My D200 with 18-50 F2.8 doesn't sit very well inside with my 18-200 and SB-600. I'm guessing once i get a battery grip for it then it will not fit at all!! Crimbo brings a nifty fifty so which will mean one of the lenses staying in it's box (i prefer to keep them all in one bag!)

The sligshot idea is a good one but i'd advise going for the larger models to be honest!

I have a Lowepro Orion Trekker and it fits my 400D with 70-300 SIgma APO DG Macro attached and my kit lens and my nifty fifty with enough room up top for some food :D

Ive got a slingshot 100 and 300.
The 100 will hold my D80 with MB-D80 and 18-70 fitted. Can squeeze the SB600 in above the D80 and at a push fit the Sigma 30mm some where in the main body.
The 300 is a lot more practical, i can leave the siggy 70-200 fitted and loads of room for all the lens and flash as well as my small gorilla pod. Spare batteries in the front pocket and all the filters in the top pocket.

Tend just to use the 100 if i can, the 300 aint the most comfortable bag for a long day.

Get either the 200 or 300.
I have the 100 and it struggles to fit my 40d with my siggy 24-70 on.
Saying that, i packed it full the other day at the horse show and had the 30d with the 24-70 attached. The 40d body. The Siggy 17-70 (didnt get used) and in the top pocket my Speedlite 430ex. I carried the bag with my 70-200 f2.8 in and as soon as i got there fitted that and a monopod to my 40d and left its bag in the car.

I have the 100aw with a 400d and a sigma 70-300 lens... It will fit but it puts a strain on the zip when closing so it wont take long for the zip to go. If i was buying again i would get the 200 as a day bag.

As Matt said also look at the Orion Trekker II. I also have this and there is good room for a camera and a couple of lenses in the base and then room in the top for food etc. The only downside of this bag compared to the 100aw is that you have to take it off your back to get your camera out.

ok, well having got one of these for xmas, i can comment a bit better on it now. The bag itself is quite small. That may suit you or not,. As a beginner, i like it. You can fit the 450d with a 55-250 IS attached and that is literally the width of the bag. You then have room for the kit lens, and either another lens or a flash. The top of the bag can accommodate the charger and spare batteries. The All weather cover is quite cool and covers all but the back of the bag. There's no room for a tripod.

This really is designed as a small bag to grab the essentials, or just for a newbie to carry their few items. But at a £31, you can't complain!

Edit: Just spotted the 200AW has come down to £30 in the sales! Might be better for you if you have another lens or bigger flash!

I've just got the Lowepro stealth reporter D100AW It takes my 450D bundle (18-55, 70-300 tamron) & it has room for another lens (maybe 2?) & flash. I don't see myself getting a big white pap lens (yet) so i'm very happy.

I have one of these and I can't get my 80-200 lens on my 30d in the bag. It's a great bag though. Wouldn't be without it, but I'm tempted to get something bigger to compliment it.

But does it need to stay on the body?
