Wow, I've not seen our barometer get this low before!

Look at the pressure gradient between the Low to the South of the UK and the High in the mid-Atlantic - it looks pretty dramatic weather-wise:

There was a comment on Radio 4 yesterday that due to the low pressure, water was boiling at a very slightly lower temperature.

The lowest pressure I can ever remember seeing on a weather chart was 909 Mb......
