Low colour quality in windows

For some reason i've been noticing some some odd colour issues in windows on both my monitors.

I'll use the below image as an example. On my computer there seems to be less shades of colour on the arm than on my iphone where the transition between light and dark is smooth.
I have pretty decent screen, one of which is an IPS and over both of them I notice the issue.

Can anyone provide some advice? I've updated my gfx card so im unsure on what to do.

well I ran my screen calibrator and it fixed it... so I guess that was the smart thing to do...hah No idea why it would go weird though

If you update the graphics card and didn't calibrate the profile will be off.


It'll happen too if you update your graphics driver and don't reboot straight away.
