crackin' images all of em' but No12 confused me just because of the angle it was taken @, First thought was that no-one in their right mind would drive down that slope but then noticed the chopper on the right, ah' so now it makes sense.

Aye, they like their high shutter speeds though, hardly a blurred wheel in sight!
 
i'd imagine they'd be shooting at silly low (high) f/ numbers to get to 1/320.

audimadgeoff off here was covering the safari in november and was having to use nd filters to get 1/320 at iso 100

Pitty can't view the exif data, not that it would help me to take shots like that :lol::lol:

yea... I remember when I was shooting a rally in China I was getting 1/thousands at most single figure f numbers at ISO100...


anyway, awesome pics... Would love to be able to shoot dakar.. but i was talking to the guy that shoots for Ralliart HK and we reckon a helicopter is a must... which pretty much rules out any chance...

Well, there is only really one shot that needs it there and thats a real slooooow shutter. The rest they are trying to capture flying sand for the drama...

Nothing wrong with it, its just like shooting MX where you do exactly the same.
 
Brilliant shots here, the first one of the motorbike and the sand flying up is amazing! :clap:

There are some amazing shots on there but I thought this one was particularly striking ...
