Yes
Son has accidently deleted lost about 200 photos from his Samsung Galaxy s6 phone, apparently photos were on phone memory and not a memory card. He asked me if it was possible to recover some or all of them, I'm not too knowledgeable on mobile phone cameras so hopefully someone has a possible solution? If they had been stored on the sd card I would have told him to try on of the recovery programs floating around the net, as it is phone memory I'm not so sure.

Anything available to try that might work for him?

Was the phone set to auto -back up to the cloud? Most are so he might be ok.

Log in to Google using his account details on a browser, select Photos from the menu at the top right. See if they've backed up as @Applemuncher has suggested.

I've used this on an iPhone - no reason to believe it won't work on an Android. As long as he hasn't used it much to write to the internal storage he could be in luck.

But yes, check whether auto backup to either Google or Samsung was enabled as he could retrieve them that way without cost.

Thanks, info has been passed on. Teach him a lesson to transfer photos from phone more often
