Lost a Facebook group

I'm not a big user of Facebook but have a few groups I'm a member of(largely for wildlife and ones about the area of NW Scotland I know well).

In the last few days I have lost access to one group but it isn't that I can see the group but am unable to access it. If I search in Facebook for the name(and I've been very careful to spell it correctly) of the group it doesn't appear at all. The group, for me, does not exist, which means I can't contact it to try to find out what has happened.

The group, however, does still exist as Mrs T is also a member and can access it. I wondered if I had been kicked off the group. This would be odd as I have always been very supportive of the group but thought I might have lost access accidentally. However, when Mrs T goes on the group she can see me and I am, what is known as, a participant of the group.

The group is public, though I don't think that matters as even if it was private it would normally still show up but with a note that is a private group

Has anyone else had something similar happen or have a solution?

yep you have been banned, i manage a few groups and that is exactly how it looks.
what is the group name and your FB name i can look for it, PM me if you want.
 
Did you happen to have even a slight run in with any of the Admin of the group? Some are much more sensitive than others. If you're showing as a member still but can't access it is possible as @Mr Bump suggests, that you have been banned/timed out. You would usually get a notification or message from admin though?
 
Thanks for the replies. Mrs T logged into my Facebook account on her PC and got the same result.

All the other groups I belong to were accessible but when she tried searching for the 'problem' one the result was the same - it wasn't visible.

Looks like if I want to get access again to this group I'll have to delete my current account and set up a new one.

It's possible the group went from 'open' to private and you missed the notification, if you had not accessed for some time your account might have been blocked as an anti spam measure. Ask Mrs T to contact the admin on your behalf?

Be careful creating another account FB has tech that can tell if you have done that
look at creating another profile under your current FB account and see if you can see it then
 
Thanks for the advice and suggestions all. Asking Mrs T to contact the admin seems a good idea.

It is 'NC500 The dirty truth'

There are a few with similar name but that is the correct spelling for the one I was able to use, until recently.

well i am joined and can see all the posts its a pretty odd site dealing with an odd issue the Admin Peter Pettigrew seems a very angry man
and talks of banning trolls in there many so maybe that is you?
if you want to send me your FB user name i cab search the members of it.
