Looks like I'm stuck between Adobe CC and Capture one Pro

So, I switched to Capture one pro some years ago pre adobes subscription plans, have been paying 12 euro / 10 quid a month happily but unticked the autorenew box to allow me flexibility.
However, that has now bit me in the bum as its run out and when i go to resubscribe at 12 euro, there's a newer version at 24 euro (these prices are PLUS vat by the way)

So on contacting Capture one they inform me that I can happily continue using version 9 at the price of version 11! Seems I have no choice, other than to switch to adobe for less than a tenner a month including vat for lightroom and photoshop and 20GB of space!

Seems a no brainer :-/ shame as I liked capture one but the newer features of 11 over V9 are just not worth an extra 120 plus vat to me :-/

Im out of touch with LR a bit i have to admit but am led to believe that it was the last standalone version is that right?

No idea how much it costs either, not bothered about updates etc as such as it would have to be something very special , hence why i was happy with V9 of my current capture software.

I have done the opposite, well nearly to you.
I had Adobe CC for a year and although I`ve been happy with it I got peeved at paying 11.99 Euros a month (i`m in France) So I had a nosey around and found Luminar or as it was called "Macphun" now this is a Apple App but they have now, well for some time I think had a Windows version (I have W10) So I gave it a go with the 14 days free trial and tbh its ok imo, I had read lots of reviews on it and people said its clunky and slow but I am not finding that too much, I guess I have a fairly good PC So I gave Adode the boot and i`m now giving Luminar a punt.
At 69 Euros its not a rolling subscription so I`m quids in already, Do I think its worth it, yes atm.
It dont do lots of what LR CC done but its being updated every month or so so I think they are getting there.

TBH I'd say all the raw editors are capable of similar output now, but some are more intuitive than others.

I'm still using LR5.7, with no need to upgrade until I buy a camera that's not supported, however I also use DXO Optics Pro and On1 PhotoRaw, both very capable and both available as an outright purchase for <£100. There's free one month trials available, so might be worth trying other stuff if you're looking to change anyway.

About £120 and lr6 ver 6.14

You can buy the LR6 download (last standalone version with a perpetual licence) for £104 from Amazon. No more compatibility updates for new cameras since the end of last year, though.
