Hey,

I'm getting a little board of my D90 and my lenses etc. I kinda just want a camera that works without having to think about ISO, WB etc etc.

I was thinking of selling all and getting something like a Leica, but not sure which. What do you guys think? Would I regret it?
 
get a panasonic GF1...then you won't regret it

So what you really want is a point-and-shoot camera...?
And you want to spend more than £1,000 on it...?

A Leica is definitely not a P&S...you'll still have to think about shutter speeds, aperture and ISO.
 
Well I wont to be able to control the aperture. But I don't want to be lugging around a DSLR if you know what I mean. I want a good quality picture but without having to have a big camera with multiple lenses.
 
If I had the money, I'd absolutely adore the new Leica APS C compact...it look absolutely stunning. :)
 
Theres a handy little booklet this month in 'Photography Monthly' with all sorts of cameras in it, with good reviews and what each camera would be best for... the G11 and GF1 both get fantastic write ups.

I'm no good with p+s's but the magazine is worth a look... the actual mag is quite good too! :D
 
I'm going to look at GF1.

Just been looking at the Leica M9... Wow - what a camera. Over 4k though.
 
:agree: Program does everything for you and stick it in AUTO ISO and it'll be a P&S with good glass.

Leicas are for showy people who go for the name instead of realising it's just a Panasonic (or something like that) underneath....
 
I bought a G11 recently for those "can't be arsed to haul a carboot load of gear around with me" moments.

Its about as good as I could expect it to be - which btw is not a patch on your D90 or my D300....

get canon g7 then leave on auto or have on manual, and can do off camera flash too, ...now where did i see one for sale
