Recommendations please. Would you buy uk ones or imports? I bought my 7D from Digital Rev & was very pleased with their service, price & speed of delivery.
Am also toying with the 70-200 & 2X mk3 extended as a bundle for £1600ish.

Many thanks & kind regards, Kevin.

Post in the DR thread and you get a good deal for your full requirement.

Hdew Cameras if you want a UK supplier, I got my 5D3 and 5D2 kit from them and they're great, and Panamoz if you want an import. I bought a few things from Panamoz and had great service everytime and also had no problems with them when I had to return a Sigma 150-500 OS lens, after only 11 days I had a brand new replacement lens at the door. Great prices from both suppliers but Hdew does supply a 3 year warranty (work carried out by Canon authorosed service agents) which would give you some peace of mind. Hdew usually deliver in around 4 days by RMSD (they did me a saturday delivery at no extra cost for my 5D3) and it's been anywhere between 3 and 6 days delivery from Panamoz depending on what day I've ordered (usually 3-4 working days).

Digital Rev and One Stop Digital are also quite highly rated, I've had a couple of things from OSD but never bought from DR.

I think my friend ordered a canon G15 from them through an Amazon link… it took quite a while to come but was in good shape when it did.

Not used Simply Electronics but they do advertise a lot on ebay as well. I read some 'less than favourable' reviews which put me off using them. As for the gear for £3433, it's a good price but it can be bettered if you have a little trust. You can get the same from Panamoz for £3337.35 if you choose to pay by bank transfer instead of using Paypal. I've paid by bank transfer for a few things from Panamoz in the past, including a 70-200 f2.8L IS II and a 2x MkIII converter, and an Eos M kit just before christmas. They are brilliant to deal with and I intend on ordering a 24-70 f2.8L II by BT in the very near future. I trust them implicitly, they have always been fantastic for me and the warranty service is also excellent as I said above.

I have been doing some homework on these. Hmmmmmmmmm, some very bad reviews out there. Anyone had any experience with them good or bad?

I'm almost certain experiences of shopping with them crop up in the Shopping and Suppliers section of the forum.

Hdew for mine, supplied a uk vat invoice too. (Stock I believe is import, well of course they all are but you know what I mean)

Yeah, they took months to send me a lens that was 'in stock' and it came from Hong Kong.

Would not buy from again.

Personally I would not buy a grey import camera. Camera World in Chelmsford/London tend to be my go-to shop, and they also will sometimes do you a deal on price.

Thank you for this. How do you go about paying by Bank Transfer? I can't see this option on their site?

Kind regards.

If you intend to get a battery grip for it, most UK suppliers are offering them for free with the 5D3, and are also throwing in LR5 and elements too.

This is handy to know as I will be after a grip. Already have LR5 though

You have to fill out the form and then they invoice you.

On the left hand side of the home page, just under the categories there's a link that says 'Save 5% on all orders'. If you click on that and then fill the order form out they will email you an invoice with all the account details and a total to pay. If you have internet banking you can create a bank transfer in just a few minutes, if not you'd have to pay a visit to the bank to make the payment. Once the payment has been made I usually email them to let them know to look out for it arriving in their account, then they will send you a confirmation email for the order and keep you informed of a tracking number. The delivery is usually no more than a week and if you get any customs charges scan and email a copy to Panamoz and the charges will be refunded very quickly.

I had around £28 charges on my last order, sent a copy of the bill to Panamoz and was refunded in less than 10 minutes. Again, I can't find fault with Panamoz, although someone will probably dive in with a warning about import charges and tax evasion etc, and I fully intend on ordering from them again soon. Oh, and just for clarification, I have no direct link to Panamoz in any way apart from being a highly satisfied customer.

I bought mine from HDEW, they were great bought on the 10th Jan and recieved 16th Jan 2014. Lightroom5 + elements was even in the box.
