Hi, I live in the US and recently bought 2 Genesis AS250 and AS500 flash units. I foolishly thought that I would be able to purchase the CF0517 Wireless Trigger online. The only reseller my Google search found is Calumet Photographic in the UK. I live in the US so I contacted them to find out how to purchase the trigger. They told me they do not ship to the US. ???? So I'm wondering if anyone knows of place that I might buy one online? I have thought about using a site called Borderliinx.com which would forward the trigger to me from the UK but I'm leery on going that route. I would consider purchasing from an individual if anyone has one he/she would like to sell.

Thanks for viewing my post and help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, HoppyUK. Thanks for the response. However, I have already tried there. They are the company that told me that they do not ship to the U.S.

Hi

According to this thread if you want manual wireless triggers you may be able to use the yn602 or even yn603.

Correct, as it has the standard 3.5mm sync socket, so will work with any radio trigger - although of course the trigger won't provide remote control. You'll be able to get them via ebay.

Many companies won't export to the USA. Unfortunately there is a poor history of product defect claims, and British insurance companies won't accept the risk

Apologies. Brain fade...

Yongnuo RF603 is probably the pick of the basic/cheap triggers - ebay or Amazon.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume the op is interested in that remote because it offers more than just basic triggering.

If someone were to buy it for him that's going to be at least £50 including shipping and even more using a third party service.

Garry that is an interesting point regarding liability. Just find it strange that I can purchase the AS250 and AS500 from a number of vendors here in the U.S, but none carry the wireless controller.

Simonbarker, you are correct in assuming I want the OEM wireless controller for the features it offers beyond just triggering the flash.
