Hi guys,

I have a Cannon 400d, and I was wondering if anybody could recommend any good courses to go on.

thanks

I have been looking at these people as they are Canon specific and they seem to cover most areas of photography. A few people on here have used them and gave good feedback :)

Thank you for that i will have a little look at the web site. I think i would like to do a home course as I work all different hours so might be hard for me to get a evening course going.

The OU do a Digital Photography Couse. Costs about 180 quid for a 10 week course.

It basically takes you through all the basics of photography. You get weekly assignments....EG Letters of the Alphabet (Where you have to find the letters in nature or accidentaly created rather than a roadsign)

It was a reasonable course...but due to being on holiday and ill during my attempt at it..never finished the course

It is all done online...but you do get DVD's and CD's for it which contain all thematersial and software (It gets you a license for Adobe Photoshop Essentials)

So also takes you thru the processing of you photos as well.

Cheers

Forgot to mention that they only run it twice a year...think the next one will be October.

I did it last year and found it really useful. It T189 in the prospectus.

I found the photoshop tutorials really good. Very basic to start with but as I've got more advanced, the grounding I got with the OU has been really beneficial.

I did the OU for the same reason and it was not too bad keeping up with the course work. I did have to do some on the train which was fun!

It covers things like focal length, sensor size, use of colour, composition, aperture, shutter, ISO, The weekly assignments don't have to be done but actually shooting to a brief is a really good way to learn. There is one multiple choice paper and you submit ten images at the end with a little description of what techniques you have used from the course.

That sounds really good and just what I am after really. PLus it is not too long as well and it's a good price. It's really hard to find the right course for you that ticks each box you know.

Thank you for the advice :-)
