Looking for advice

I’m currently on holiday in Grenada, it’s quite hot and humid. Where do people store their gear whilst abroad? My travel insurance wants items of high value stored in a safe, my lens won’t fit in it (500 pf), if I store my body and and 50mm in the safe. , when it’s taken outside it fogs up with condensation which in its self won’t do much good.

Normally it’s with me. But never had the fogging problem you have. Am guessing it’s down to a sudden change in temp (ie air con room to outdoor)? Maybe a more gradual change to acclimatise?

Or when I have left stuff in rooms, not as awkward in size to be fair, just hide. Chances of it going missing are low, if daytime then have do not disturb on door so no maid service. Lock in a suitcase at the back of others.

The air con is the problem, without it on the room gets up to 28 or so degrees, I’ve toyed with leaving everything outside on the balcony, but I think I’m going to lose sleep doing that

One tip I saw somewhere on Youtube was to keep your gear in the bathroom, with the door shut so the aircon doesn't get to it.
