Looking for a tripod on a budget, help please

Hi everyone, I am still loving photography and feel my photos are improving but I am still yet to get a tripod.

I would ideally need one that can reach around 5 foot in height at least, if this is what I need for studio photos. If I need something bigger advice would be much appreciated.

Budget is around £40, could maybe stretch to more but I have building up my equipment slowly as I can afford it.

I wouldn't skimp too much on a tripod, for £40 your best bet is in the classifieds or eBay for a travel tripod, plenty manfrotto travel ones around £40

I have a Manfrotto 055 Pro that I could sell within your budget.
Its 55ins without raising the centre column, so over 5ft with it up a little bit

If its of any interest let me know and i'll stick it on the classifieds.
Think I will bung it up for sale anyway now you've reminded me about it

Just make sure that whatever you get comes with the head or budget for one.

Sorry for the thread hijack but I'm look for similar on a budget, but I've heard monopods are worth a try if not shooting video? Could anyone recommend anything?
