I have done Long Exposures of car light trails on a motorway bridge before, but I been so impressed and love to do Landscape long exposures on a coastline, I live in Cheltenham its not far to wales and the River Severn, but I always had trouble looking for a nice place to try it, I have a Haida 10 ND filter, which I yet to try out.

If you're willing to travel down as far as Bridgewater then there are loads of spots that are great (I'm from further south so my knowledge ends at Bristol!)

There's the Severn bridges, Clevedon pier, Burnahm-on-Sea's lighthouse on legs, the SS Nornan (sp?) shipwreck at Berrow or a couple of lighthouses in Portishead. As these are all on a West coast the sun sets out to sea at all times of the year (sunrise is obvs inland) so they're great at any time of the year.

There's a couple of places I'd suggest (Bristol based here):

Severn Beach - there's a couple of spots around here - great for sunsets and for light trails too
Aust Warth is also worthy of a mention!
As Carl mentions - Clevedon Pier
Burnham is also worth a visit

Might be bit far but Kimmeridge Bay has plenty of opportunities for a landscape picture.
