London + Surrounds

There must be so much togging to be done in this area, but I'd be interested to hear some ideas from fellow TP'ers.

[Btw, am gutted I missed the meet up - saw the thread weeks ago and then totally forgot.]

But what would you recommend in or around London? I've only got public transport, but can travel at weekends.

Is there any near(ish) coast for example. Ideally something rugged rather than a beach town like Brighton.

But any ideas at all are welcome!

In London you are spoilt for choice - I normally walk a well worn route from Warren St where my office is down Tottenham Crt Rd though Traf Sq to the river via Parliament

The River is a great source of inspiration from either side - from Tower Bridge through to Vauxhall

People, Architecture, Art and the river itself! You can't go wrong! And all very walkable and manageable by bus and tube!

Beyond London: Brighton I've done and its great but any South Coast seaside town must be a great source of ideas and images! Hastings also I hear is quite good!
