London marathon 2013

Hi, just wondered if anyone was planning on shooting at the London Marathon today? I'm planning to try and get some photos of a friend who's running and wanted to ask if any one had any tips I should be thinking about, settings, perspectives etc? Anything to make them more interesting would be appreciated.

Did you spot him as he ran past? thats the toughest part I have finding people I know doing running events

A bit late for this years marathon but for future reference it might be worth installing a tracking application on a runners phone. Lots of runners user their iPhone or Android phone when running.

This way you will be able to see exactly where they are.
