Wow! Please send some of that over here (in Folkestone) as my front lawn is resembling the Kalarahi Desert after 12 days of no appreciable rainfall.
Indeed, that is the result of a heat-related thunderstorm where they can be very localised but violent features . . . and on this occasion you drew the short straw.

I'm in East Finchley. That manhole cover is still looking like that - a lot of rain has fallen in the past hour. A lot.

Here in St Albans (10 miles ish
h from london) Flooded loads yesterday from 10minutes of rain when i was on my bike so will be mega now. Thunder and fork lightning, I haven't got a decent photo yet.:razz:

TWO hours it went on for, thunder and lightning with intermittent torrential rain and I do mean of biblical proportions, I think nth London is floating away, I feel distinctly sea sick
