i have read in some posts that you can lock image files on your 1 DmkIII so that when you ingest them into photomechanic it is quicker.At the moment I am ingesting the whole card and then looking through them to pick the ones i want.
 
i use this system..

at the bottom left on the back of your camera you have three buttons... the one on the right is LOCK (under FOLDER/FILE) ..press it and you will see a lock icon appear on that pic when viewing in the view screen fingy :)

in photomechanic use the INGEST and choose only locked files in the filter files drop down option

have had a try and just done a dummy run.it will make it alot easier when trying to look for something at half time.Hope to catch some St Mirren goals on Sunday.But they are as rare as hens teeth.
 
Its a massive time saver for me at half time.. never use it at home.. but on a job it save on downloading on searching and if you downloaded a couple of hundred pics you could easy miss a good one in your 15 minute half time rush....

It doesnt seem a lot to most people but yes.. its a massive time saving help :)
 
Same system i use also. Look at Tobers post in the sports section about doing it in LR aswell if you want another option :)
 
Is there an option to do this on a Canon 600d ?
