Anyone into fishing?,tomorrow i am going pike fishing & i have not been fishing for about 20 years.
I borrowed a nice rod from a friend & i am off to St. Mary,s Loch near Moffat tomorrow.
I am feeling a little nervous about it at the moment & also looking forward to it as well,i,m sure it will be ok.:banana::D
 
I try, used to be mad keen in the 80s/90s. If you are piking you really ought to have all the gear for safely unhooking a fish too. i.e. long nosed pliers, forceps, side cutters, large landing net, teeth proof gloves and know how to safely unhook a pike.
You dont say whether you will be lure fishing/spinning or using bait either dead or alive.

That'll be him even more nervous now. :facepalm: I go trout fishing, but always on the fly. You can get pike flies nowadays, but they're more like mackerel feathers than trout flies.

I have all the gear i need for unhooking,net,fish mat,i will be using both lures & spinners,i used to fish a lot,so it will all come back to me.:banana::D

Well the fish just were not biting today & other fishers had the same problem,ah well.:)

A good days fishing is just that,catching a fish is a bonus :D
