Hello to all on TP. Could anyone give me any suggestions of where to get the best results for full shot bike pictures at Cadwell (club race) and BSB at Brands in a few weeks, I have Nikon camera bodies with 70 - 300mm and 50 - 500mm lenses - hope someone can help. thank you. Ian.
 
Hi Ian,

with regards to Brands there are a number of places. For the Indy circuit Druids and Clearways are popular spots, and for the GP circuit almost 75% of it has no high safety fence.

Take a look at my flickr for examples.
 
My fave Brands non trackside patch is the exit of Stirlings - only in the afternoon though.

Nice corner and the straight out of it has them wheelying off the throttle right on the rumble strip in front of you - and there is no catch fence (yet!)
 
Thank you for that information, I went to BSB for the full weekend and found that the inside of Druids for the Indy circuit worked and on the GP a long walk with kit from campsite but Westfield's bends offered no high catch fencing and with a 300mm Nikon lens I could get in really close with no obstructions.
 
If the is anyone out there that could take me under their wing it would be a start to doing this full time in a few years. Ian

Walking is all part of the fun!

I am sure some people on here will help you - this forum has some excellent talent and most are really nice friendly folk too.

Probably best to suggest a race meeting and ask for someone to hook up with.
 
Thank you Kim, I will defiantly keep trying, BSB at Cadwell next weekend. Have got a few iron's in the fire and a good contact with publishing possibilities.
 
Thank you Ian, were all those taken at Brands Hatch without a Media Pass ? if so where were they taken. Really good Photography mate !!

Hi Ian,

yes all my photos are from the spectators side of the fence. For my rnd7 pics a majority were at the exits of Stirlings and Westfield. There are also a couple from Clearways, inside of Druids and Hawthorns Bend.
