Hi folks,

I'm looking for interesting locations around the east coast of Scotland, within an approx 100 mile radius of Aberdeen. Currently in the process of researching potential places but would appreciate any local knowledge anyone can offer. Good landscape areas, interesting buildings, ruins, castles, churches, lochs... you get the idea (Dunnottar castle already covered). Particularly any subjects that would lend well to black and white treatment. The more specific you can be, the better! :)

Any input greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Dave

Lunan bay has terrific beaches and seascapes, Auchmithie and Arbroath are great for cliffs, waves, rocks and nesting birds. Arbroath has a nice working harbour and the ruins at the abbey can provide nice black and whites
Braemar's just down the road, and Glamis is a wee bit farther. St Andrews is great for a stroll with the camera and made for B&W too
This and a 1000 things in between

Thanks very much for your input guys. Most helpful!
