Locations in or around oldham

I'm looking for ideas and places to visit around Oldham as I'm unsure of places these days as been stuck in Aberdeen for 8 years

there is daisy nook country park,just down the oldham road towards ashton-under-lyne

also portland basin and the canals also just down in ashton too

just a few miles outside oldham is Dovestone resevour,well worth a visit

Google "dingle terrace" and go have a look see, it is in Ashton.

Mossley has some good views.

get up into glossop, for some peak district fun.

Hi,
Tandlehill Park, Royton, is nice on a sunny day.
I like the views from Grains Bar, at the top of Buckstones Road and Ripponden Road. Looking over Shaw.

And as Peter and Lawrie say, check out the local websites for other ideas.

Diggle and Saddleworth are worth visits along with what the others have said living round here I find it a case of just going all over. The views from the hills on a sunny clear day are fantastic!!

Don't forget Hartshead Pike which on a clear day has views over Manchester and beyond.
