Hi guys. Does anyone know of any free open spaces, lakes, etc I could drive to within around a 20 mile radius of where I live in Finchley London to go shoot BIF?

All I get round here is the usual pigeons, crows and magpies and it's near on impossible to track them because there's too many trees and buildings and other clutter that they swoop back and forth to and from very rapidly that makes following them difficult.

Hmmmm......

Hampstead Heath?

If/when open Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust in Barnes?

Thanks chris and Box Brownie, those are good suggestions. Alexander Palace Park is a good one and closest to me so I'll go there first. Hampstead Heath is the next closest. The Barnes Wildfowl & Wetland Trust also great though I'd prefer to try and get some practise in first at some free locations so that I can learn how to track birds properly before I buy a ticket.

Any of the Royal Parks would be a good start

Thanks Gordon. The Regents Park & Primrose Hill is not too far, so that's one to consider. I know from seeing various posts that Richmond and Bushy Park are popular.
