I have a week off next week and wanted to venture out with my camera on a few days to practise my photography.

I live in Sussex and have a few locations planned, Selsey lifeboat station, Leith Hill and the surrounding hills and my local lake. I know I have many locations that I could go to but am looking for a bit of inspiration, what do people suggest?

I would like to get some sunset pictures so have that in mind for Leith Hill, I was going to try some long exposures down at Selsey and maybe some night time shots of light trails (dont know locations yet though), after that I am open to suggestions.

I own a tokina 11-16, a tamron 17-50 and 105mm macro.

Monkeyballs this is great thanks very much, I will do some research on this tomorrow, much appreciated!

Have a little play on http://www.shothotspot.com - you're bound to come up trumps.

Here's the map zoomed to Sussex http://www.shothotspot.com/hotspots/?nelat=51.23354747708328&swlat=50.6903680653673&swlng=-0.867919921875&nelng=0.6207275390625&searchType=Drawn&kw=&place=West Sussex, UK There's a few gems in there, like abandoned buildings (if thats your thing), Winkworth Arboretum, Waverley Abbey, St Martha's Church, Bodiam Castle. Or how about a sunset shot including one of the many piers or windmills listed? Balcombe Viaduct looks pretty awesome for a landscape.
awesome - thanks!
