Couldn't think where to post this, so hopfully this section of the forum is fine. I'm also new to the forum, so hello!!

Anyway, I'm doing a photoshoot for a friend of mine and his MK3 VW Golf this weekend and I'm looking for a decent "industrial" backdrop to shoot the car against.

Does anyone know of anywhere around the Cheshire area that I could scout out this week?! I plan to go out and do my own reconnaissance but some location ideas would be good!

Cheers,
Jack

The post should be in the "Talk Locations" section.

What do you mean by "industrial"? There are buildings as a result of the industrial past all around 'Cheshire'. Plenty of mill buildings, engineering works, canal buildings...if you want something more like an oil refinery with lots of pipe and valve goodness things will become more difficult as such sites tend to be away from public roads and requiring permission to access (though somewhere like the former PSD Goostrey might still have a few suitable stands - permission would be needed as the land is now privately owned).

Sorry Morfis, I will spend some time familiarising myself more with the forums.

I am after more pipe work and valve related backdrops. The mention of an oil refinery has given me a good idea... I may pop along to the old Shell site in ellesmere port and scout that out! :) there has to be something of a good location on that site!

A530 East of Northwich going towards Broken Cross has some pipes and a few places to park.
