Loading film in an old canon FX camera

I am hopeless with film photographhy. I want to find out an easy way to load film in a very old camera. I just got hold of a canon FX camera with a built in light meter. It doesnt use any batteries for film, but needs a mercury battery for the light meter which I have just ordered.

Can anyone show/tell me how I can load film into my camera? I want to get it right. I messed one up already. I tried to find videos for this, but no joy.

I tried my grandpa's old FX at the end of last year, big cumbersome thing!

Loading film into it is the same as any other film camera, go on youtube and type 'how to load film '

Btw I wouldn't trust the light meter on it, and in any case unless you ordered a battery with the right voltage on it (they aren't made anymore but you can get wein cell batteries) the readings will be out.

Thanks mate. I will have another browse. I was looking for camera specific videos. Love the feel of this camera, very solid.

I ordered a wein battery with 1.35v which is equivalent to the original mercury batteries. I read about wein on some forums to ordered one. Not entirely sure how to use it though, I guess I will find out when I get the battery. Have you had any luck with the light meter and a wein battery? Any good?
