Ive just bought a small fishtank for dropping fruit etc into watr photography and would like some advice for light positioning please?

Usually a speedlight each side, hard up against the glass.
If the tank is big enough, try putting the lights as far back as possible and drop the fruit in fairly well forward, this makes the most of the bubbles etc.

That should get you started, but mainly it's trial and error, especially error:)

Thanks for the reply garry, unfortunatley i only have my jessops flash and some lights that i can put either side of the tank, would this be suitable?

Just use your Jessops flash then, maybe with a mirror on the other side.
Other lights will be useless if they are continuous and next to useless if they are studio flash, because the flash duration will be too long for your purpose.
