Hi

Has anyone used the photoshop filters from Little Lusker? Are they easy to use?

They currently have an offer on and I do like some of the effects from the filters, so thinking of buying.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Gerald, I used to have many Actions/Filters in Photoshop but decided to get rid of them because what they can do you can do!!
You buy the filters/actions only to find that you will probably use only a fraction of them and the rest never see the light of day. (for some people)
The one you use more than likely you will pull back on the effect.
So many options out there also to find free offerings of so many actions/filters
Of course just my opinion but I did get Jared Platt 'Lightroom and Photoshop plug-ins 101' from Creative Live and made some very interesting watching on his outlook to Plug ins/Actions.
Of course just my opinion.

Thanks Russ for your reply. I'm having second thoughts on this at the oment.

My understanding is, that actions run through from start to finish, but can be pauses to adjust individual adjustments. Were has with filters you more control over the final output. Also with action they are applied to different images and give diffrent results. Maybe I'm talking rubish. Hopefully someone can correct me.:bonk::bonk:

Hi no your not talking rubbish. Your correct thats how they work. The other poster does talk some sense though. I'm just an hobbiest and have some free ones but use probably 3 of them at most.2 of them are black and white coneverters and one is a skin retoucher. Even these I use in frequentley.
Oh and a poloroid action which I quite like to use on my snaps.

Gaz.

Download a few free ones and play with them if you not used befire :-)

You have a certain amount of control over the actions, whereas you can untick some of the process, and also reduce or increase the opacity, what Russ said is quite correct, you can do the same yourself in PS, however if your starting from scratch this can be quite time consuming, hence why some choose to purchase. Some of these sets have about 300 actions, so you can see why folk would choose to buy, and tweak themselves, I purchased some Greater than Gatsby ones which are very good, better than Little Lusker from what I have seen, not used many, as I have never gone through them all, but that's not to say I won't in the future.
