Hi all - I've read some of these threads and feel confident enough to ask a really stupid question now ;-)

I just upgraded my 30d to a 5d and know that my EFS 60mm macro is a no-no, but does anyone know if I can safely use my Sigma 10-20? No biggy if not as I've got the 24-105mm L (my first) but was hoping to get some really funky shots with those extra mm.......... b ut not at the expense of a decent chunk of salary!!
:bonk:
All advice greatfully received

Cheers!

i think its just the ef-s lens that dont fit, but not sure tbh.

if its this lens and has DC in the title then you'll get serious vignetting, id gather it would work on the camera (i put my 18-50mm sigma DC lens onto my eos 5 and while it did focus etc, it was clear that the lens suffered from major vignetting,

they are designed for smaller images sensors

Thanks Whitewash - looks like it's usable at around 14mm plus.....

Thanks for the help - you too Matty

it'll work, just with muchos vignetting - however, it should be usable from about 14mm-15mm withough vignetting, which equates to the same field of view as you'd have had on your 30D anyway.
So you can treat it as a 15-20mm lens :)

Cheers Hoodi - i look forward to a weekend of funky fun then :-)
