Linhof cameras on eBay

Hello everyone

I have recently noticed many Linhof 4 x 5 systems on eBay...is this coincidence or should more be read into it?

Any reason to believe that sheet film is not going to be around for much longer?

I am currently looking at buying one locally but would think twice if it will become an ornament in a year or two...

I know Joe Cornish one of THE top landscape photographers in the UK uses a Linhof but somehow uses a Phase One digital back, not sure if you can convert them to digital with this piece of equipment in place.

Hello Graham and thanks for the response.

I can't see myself being able to afford a digital back for that but really would like to buy it for the sake of shooting film...

Oh well, no guarantees in life I suppose...
