Just looking into this and would appreciate any examples of how you are supposed to use this?. It seems from what I have read that ticking this box strips all automatic settings from a raw image imposed by the camera, allowing you to adjust everything yourself almost like super raw image. If that is the case, would it be sensible to use such an image as the basis for a 'custom picture style in the picture style editor for say a fixed enviroment in a studio for accurate/better colours?
I think I'm getting a bit confused:(

I'm pretty sure "automatic" camera settings aren't applied to RAW files anyway.... just to JPEG and TIFF.

Thanks for the reply David, I've been all over the place checking this out and finaly found a mention on a canon video about DPP. It seems to be about playing with multiple exposures in photoshop which I don't use.
