hi the wife and i did a camera course at hartsholme park last weekend and was taught lost of good things so we are looking for some places around lincoln(been to the bail) to put these new found skills into practice would love to find somewhere with running water thank you

Oi, we have had running water in Lincolnshire for the last five years. Electricity is due next year.

To more helpfully answer your query, I assume by "running water" you mean water which is fast with rapids, falls and the like. I reckkon you would be best heading towards the National Watersports Centre at Holme Pierrepont near Nottingham. Its on the Lincoln side of Nottingham so is easy to get to. I have only been there once when I happened to be cycling in the area (with no camera), but there are always folk paddling around the rapids in canoes. They would make good action shots.

There is a small waterfall at Hubbard hills and a "secret" one in the wolds, but I don't know where it is. Even the missus doesn't know where it is and she lived in the wolds.

You have the lock and weir at Stamp End, maybe not what you are looking for, but it has running water.
