Limitiations of D90 and SD Cards

I know the D90 is a few years old, so wanted to know if there are any confirmed limitations on the newer SD Cards, I have always in the past used Sandisk Extreme III (which I think are Class 6) and have been very happy with them, so the modern equivalent would be the Class 10 Extreme Pro, would this work with a D90? Would it be over the top for the capabilities of the Camera?

I am after 2 x 8GB for redundency rather than a single 16GB, but any suggestions will be welcome.

I`ve a D90 and bought a PNY 16Gb ( supposedly class 10 ) 20mb/s ?
Anyway it works fine although I don`t have another card to compare it to.
You can get 8Gb versions from Play for about £11 I think.

I think it depends on the type of card, i.e. SD, SDHC or SDXC (which I think exists). From what I can see the D90 supports SDHC and SD so as long as the new cards your planning are one of these two you should be fine.
