Yes
Don't touch it with a bargepole.

There is no such thing as free music. Its illegal.

Itunes, mycokemusic, one of the big store names, I think napster is legal now too.

Limewire is also full of viruses, spyware and its the number one way to get a letter from the RIAA addressed to you demanding £0000's in compensation for illegally downloading music.

it's really an illegal file sharing site. You also need to be very careful of viruses.

:agree:

You would be better off paying for napster or itunes etc than paying Limewires support fees, as said above is highly illegal and the industry are clamping down on it. Last thing you want is a letter summoning you to court !

What about the Russian itunes site (I joke not:cuckoo: ) that was on the News a while ago ??

Sure when I looked that CD Albums were only about £4.00  Singles around 60p

Either that or as IanC says set up an i-tunes account and give her a monthly allowance to spend on downloads.............. not sure how much would be needed though

I agree with the other posts. It is illegal. With Big Brother watching everything we these days, it will be only a matter of time before you are caught.

There is no Russian iTunes site. There's a Russian music site that is selling copyrighted material because they can get away with it in Russia.

Apparently second only to itunes as the place of choice for the UK Digital music buyer, even beats Napstar?? Turning over £20M a year there must be quite a few people buying from it.

Ok for those who havent hear about it heres a piece from THE REGISTER

And the site in question AllofMP3.com

Caveat emptor..........

As said stay clear - they are really clamping down on this stuff.

Years ago there was no problems but now you can get a real legal shafting, alot of the companies involved are currently pressing through the courts for ISPs turnover information regarding customers who download this material.
