I have looking at doing some stills using my 80 x80cm light tent, but need a suggestion of lights that I should use.?

There are loads about but NOT really sure which would be the best for someone starting out? I don't have a masive budget so be easy-ish on the wallet!

I started out with a couple of 150W halogen worklights, which cost about £12 each. You'll need a tripod when working with lights that dim as the shutter speeds will be pretty slow, especially if you want generous DOF (small aperture) and good IQ (low ISO).

The problem with halogen lights is the safety risk and comfort - they get hot. Be careful.

This was all pretty rookie stuff and I'm sure there are better ways to set up the lighting, and perhaps better lights to use too, but this is how I started, and where I stopped.

Hopefully others will be able to put forward some better suggestions.

You can also use desk anglepoise lamps.
