Hi

Ive just installed Lightrooms 4....it as automatically transferred all my images from Lightrooms 3. If I uninstall Lightrooms 3 will I lose all images from Lightrooms 4? want to be safe than sorry....

Hope you can help!
 
No, you won't lose anything.
 
you will lose any changes you've made in LR4, not the images themselves though

No you won't... Uninstalling LR3 will leave images and catalogues intact.
 
what would happen if you uninstalled lightroom4 and went back to 3.

Would you lose all the adjustments you made in 4?
Would you lose any photos imported using 4.

The only reason i ask is that i have installed lightroom 4 but may not purchase it just yet (sometime int he future but not beofre the 30 day trial runs out)

LR 4 imports your LR3 catalogue and then when you import photos to it, adds to the LR4 catalogue. The LR3 catalogue still exists and is untouched. You can always go back to it. However, any new imports/changes made in LR4 will be lost and there MAY be compatibility issues if you edit old files in the new process (2012) and you save your edits to sidecar XMP files.

If you are evaluating LR4, I'd do it on a copy of your data and assume that all edits will be lost if you revert back to LR3.
