LightRoom v2 - Cropped images but cant export as crop

Hi

ive just been through a batch of photos in Lightroom 2 and cropped into a lot of them to get them focussed and sharp.

Within LR they display correctly, but I want to save new files so that I can view the new cropped version in any other application, or upload to the web etc...

tried export and that doesnt seem to pick up the changes ive made.... so how do you do it?:shrug:
 
Where do you export the files to?

Forgive me asking the obvious but you did look at the exported file and not the original?
 
Yes, that's exactly how LR works.

Talk through exactly what you're doing, step by step and hopefully we'll be able to offer a solution.
 
ok.....

1. took lots of pictures yesterday
2. imported them into Lightroom Catalog today
3. reviewed each pic in LR in Develop module - did some cropping, or colour adjustment etc
4. now want to "create" versions of the edited pictures as standalone files (JPEGS) so that I can upload them to the web, email them to friends etc...


but everytime i try the "xport" feature - it just copies them out as the original files without my edits
 
With knowing the "exact" steps it's a little hard to say what's going wrong.

I open LR
Switch to develop
Use the crop tool
Come out of the crop tool
Switch to library
Click on Export
Select my option for destination, size, etc.
Click export
Open the file, it's cropped.
 
hmmmmmm :thinking: me thinks I am going mad

just retried now and it seems to be working, only diff I can think of is I ran the export command from the library module rather than develop

very odd - definately didnt do it this way earlier on today :shrug:
