Lightroom unable to locate images on Apple laptop

Having an issue with Lightroom not finding images so that I can edit them.

All was fine until it looks like my MacBook did an overnight update and now it looks like when I click on an unedited picture it is unable to find it on the desktop

I have attached a picture that I believe shows where the issue lies but after spending two hours this morning and getting nowhere I thought I would ask for help

Have you tried rebuilding the catalogue?

Thank you for the response but my panic is over

I found a Youtube review on a guys site called Photo Feaver and it was unbelievably quick and simple and has actually left me able to resolve the rest of my scrappy cataloging plus given me a way to bring some more pictures from my old laptop without importing everything.
