I have two monitors on my computer and LR seems determined to use the second one and I don't want it to. The LR help tells me a myriad of ways in which I can get it to use the secoond monitor but I can't find it anywhere about how to stop it. I use my second monitor to watch TV.

If you are using LR5 (can't remember if it is different in earlier versions), there should be two monitor icons at the top left of the lower panel (below the folders list). Click on the one marked 2 to hide it.

Bythesea,

That's ridiculous, I tried everything relating to that button but never simply clicking on it. I can't believe I didn't do that.

That's perfect, thanks very much.

Not as far as I believe. You can have the image on full screen on the second monitor, but I believe you have to work on the image on the same screen as the panels. You can expand the side panels by dragging the edges, but making them too big makes the image you are working on rather small.
