Has anyone got an idea why my Lightroom2 is running painfully slow?
 
Too many pics in your catalog?

Too many 1:1 previews?

Ok. I now only have the catalogue of 35 RAW that I'm working on. Looks like it could be my pc rather than LR itself. Thanks for the help though
 
Not sure about 2 but 3 and 4 are reliant on CPU and disk speed... Might be a place to start. Not much point throwing memory at it, I don't *think* they did a 64 bit version of 2. Not that 3 64 bit ever uses more than 2.5gb..
 
what Neil said - the most I've every got 4 to use is 3.5 GB. I'd start by having a look at your HD and making sure thats working at the speed it should

*whispers* actually I think I need a new PC - but it's far too scary to contemplate ;)
