? Simply put, Catalina is a 64 bit operating system. LR6 which has not been updated to 6.14 is not. 6.14 is.

Did you read the whole Laura Shoe article?

Just stay with Mojave if you are running it or even High Sierra which I am more than comfortable with. I don't see what the problem is, OS's update all the time, 64 bit systems are the way ahead in todays environment, if you want to run old legacy software then stick with older operating systems.

I upgraded to Catalina Beta on my MBP a while ago and Lightroom wouldn’t even startup. ( I have 6.14)
I restored Mojave and everything was back to normal.
Yesterday, I kept getting a message to upgrade to the latest Catalina Beta, so still worried about Lightroom I installed Catalina on another volume on my startup disc, and again, Lightroom wouldn’t startup. I kept getting an error message.
Funnily enough, Lightroom 5.7 works fine with Catalina, but of course, I can’t open any images that I have edited with LR6.
Anyway, I started looking around for a LR alternative and settled on Lumineer. I’ll just buy V4 when it comes out, but the demo of V3 seems to work very well and appears to do much the same as LR 6.
