Hi. working with lightroom on late 2008 Macbook pro 2.4 Duo = OSX 10.9.5 = 250gb SSD - 80GBfree = 8GB ram
I have started with Mountain Lion ages ago and then updated to Mavericks. Then started my journey with photography and installed LR 5 and PScc. Since day one I have some delays with opening and moving from photo to photo. Now after all along OSX updates it gets 2-3 sec delay between browsing photos. I've cleaned up LR and expand RAW cache. I've updated Ram + Hdd and system is faster but still got the same issues with lightroom. Then I read on some forums that Mountain Lion is a bit faster for LR when browsing / develop and there's not much lag or delays. And it's might be worse on Yosemite. As I didn't experienced LR with ML and have too much stuff installed on Mavericks here's my question :
Does LR really work faster on Mountain Lion for 2008/9 macbooks pro? Is it worth moving back and sacrifice Mavericks system features ? or is it time to buy new Mac :/ ?
Thanks for advice.
