lightroom not importing

hi all bit of a problem i cant seem to get lightroom to import pics either from an sd card or from the desktop, its lightroom classic and it udated when i opened it. anyone else have thsi problem

What happens when you try and import? Mine's working fine, but you'll need to give us more of a clue about what's failing.
