I've been geotagging a lot of photos recently in Lightroom but find I cant add photos to a location thats already on Google maps.

This is especially tricky when the postcode/address doesnt match up to the business location thats show on google maps.

Apart from manually dropping the photos on top of the location (which often brings up incorrect or missing address details) is there a way of properly adding the photos to a Google maps location?

For example, i shot a wedding at... The Manor, Brecon Rd, Crickhowell, Powys NP8 1SE, if you searched for this address in Lighroom without the business name it would drop the location east of it. Even with the business name Lighroom doesnt always recognise iteven if you type it in exactly how it appears in google maps.

Thanks.

Phil.

I often find that Google Map has errors in addresses for locations. Lightroom will therefore suffer from the same errors as it depends on being linked to Google Map. Apologies but I'm confused as to whether your question refers to using the Lightroom Map function alone or when using Google Map separately from Lightroom.
I'm no expert on geo-tagging but if you have not already done so, you may find this Adobe link, (especially the Julieanne Kost video near the end of the page) to be of benefit. Creating a "Saved Location" might possibly be a way to make adding photos easier when you know the intended location. Hope this helps and apologies if I'm just repeating what you already know.

Thanks for the link, i'll have a look to see if theres anything there that can help.

Its using the Map module only in Lightroom.

It doesnt look as if Lightroom pulls business information through, i've had the the map centred over a business and its failed to find it when searching for it.
