Hi Folks

I have just had a problem develop with LR and wondered if anyone had any bright ideas

I am creating watermarks using Edit>Watermarks
This has been working fine up until a few hours ago when I came to create a new watermark.
As soon as I click edit>watermark LR just locks up, the dialog box does not appear and the whole thing is unresponsive to the extent that the only way to shut it down is Ctrl>alt>delete and use task manager.
Everything else under the Edit tab works fine .
For info its the latest version of classic 7.5 and the pc is running win 10 , 16gb ram and it does not make any difference if graphics accelerartion is turned on or off, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling LR but it makes no difference

Any Thoughts
 
Sorry yes.... best way is to google rebuild/trash lightroom preferences. Chances are if I try to explain I will get it wrong particularly as I am a Mac person. The preference file can become corrupt and will cause problems, that file may not always be removed when you uninstall and will be used by the new install...

Thanks for the tip, windows is shift+alt and restart.
That did the trick all is OK now
