Tried last night to load images from my canon 80d to LR cc and again earlier tonight. Got the following message in all image boxes "preview unavailable for this file". I am able to view on camera screen.
Any assistance welcome.
Thanks in advance.

A quick thought though maybe not relevent as the 80D is an older body.

Are you shooting in raw? If so it is possible for some reason that LR CC is not able to open them?

If you can post:-
Shooting file type - raw or jpeg?
LR CC which version I.e is it fully up to date?

Has Lightroom been able to access/produce previews from the 80D previously? If so, what have you changed - it might be something seemingly innocuous and not directly Lightroom?

ooops! a tad younger than I thought :exit:

PS though as so 'young' and if the OP cannot confirm they used to be able to see previews then perhaps LR CC needs a Camera RAW update from Adobe???

Edit - according to this page https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html LR CC should have Camera Raw version 9.5 or higher to support the 80D

NB the most recent ACR is 9.6.1

Thanks for info. Will check tomorrow night which version. Not used Editing software for ages so could well be the issue. Will feedback once checked.

Lightroom has supported 80D raw files from version 6.5.
If you are using CC and it's fully updated you should not have a problem with 80D CS2 raw files.
When you open Lightroom, under "Help" > "About Photoshop Lightroom" make sure you are using 'Camera Raw 9.6' (or higher)
