Hi,
I feel as if I am approaching the organising of my work somewhat arse backwards :bonk:
I always use LR to edit my pictures, and then I export the images once a month or so to iPhoto on my iMac to organise them and store them. Mainly I do this because I like to have my screensaver feeding from iPhoto - as far as I'm aware you can't do this in LR?
I have real difficulty importing photos to LR4 (having recently updated from LR2) from the camera. I specify a folder or location in the bottom right o the screen, but this list of folders doesn't correlate with the list of folders I get in the Library option. Sometimes the only way I can find my pictures is to go to All Photos and locate them in there which is very cumbersome:bang:
So obviously I accept I need to better understanding of how LR works as a storage system! Is it possible/practical to just use LR? And leave iPhoto to gather dust? (if I can get over the lack of screensaver of course!) Is there an idiot proof way of organising images in LR? Or an idiot-proof link to explain this??!!
