Hi folks,
Apologies this isn't strictly speaking a PP or eiting question but most of the LR experrts hang out in here
Since I moved to digital I have used Nikon's Transfer program to get images from my memory card onto the PC and I use it to automatically created both a working and master copy of the files on different hard drives.
I know LR can do this too so I was thinking of maybe cutting out Transfer and letting LR do the job but think I have hit a snag
At the moment, transfer creates a new folder each time I transfer images. It has the format YYMMDD - XXX, where XXX is a sequential number automatically applied by Transfer. I reset XXX manually to 001 on 1st January each year so I have the facility to create 999 folders in a year - more than I need.
My problem is that I can't see how to get LR to create the XXX portion of the folder name and increment it by 1 each time like Transfer does.
Any suggestions?
