I have just imported the first ever shoot where I have used canon and fuji together . The time on both cameras is identicial but when I put the images in time order the canon shots are about 30mins behind the fuji. The camera data in lightroom is also showing the camera times are correct. anyone know what could be going on?

Maybe Canon really are 30 minutes behind Fuji.
I would guess it's to do with automatically adjusting for Daylight saving but it should be an hour out you would think.
Besides at the moment we are on GMT which should be correct all round.

Wild stab in the dark, but are your cameras set to the same time zone?
Thats a good shout actually , just checked and canon is on london and fuji from what I see doesnt give an option

I sort mine by import date now because sorting by capture time gives me very wierd results.

Actually, a quick Google has led to (unsurprising) posts over 5 years old relating to this issue. Longstanding bug. If I sort my cat by capture date, the "newest" photo was taken in June, and the oldest was taken in May 2019. Considering the oldest capture date I have is 2003 (got my 1st digital camera) this is all just plain wrong. Neg scans are all over the place.

I doubt this is related to your issue, but I did read in one of the Adobe forum moans that LR gets "Capture Date" from multiple different locations in the EXIF data.
